We are all beginners in this language. I even think some German native speakers are still learning the language

Looks like we just need to arrange a meeting then (when this awful rain stops, hopefully...).

Oh don't get me started on this rain topic. I have never experience a summer like this in my life and I am sitting here ready to explode with anger and frustration.

I think foreigners could better explain the rules of German language to other foreigners than it could do Germans. They speak the language but don't understand why they use this or that grammar rule.

That might be true. What Germans will want to teach us German? They are too busy practising their English on us.

Such skepticism. I find Germans are only too willing to lend a hand with pronunciation and the like. You should try making friends Anakin and you will realise that people will be nice back to you.

The problem with German is that it is so difficult. Finding a tandem language exchage partner is by far the best way, but should it be only with Germans? I would have thought other foreigners would be better.

It is so true, other foreignere would be more ready to help us with learning German as well as explain it in a more comprehensive way.

Other foreigners can't speak the language.

Every time I start with first online lessons but unfortunately after some time eventually give up. I cannot motivate myself to do them regularly and somehow don't believe that one can learn German without attending any courses.

Recently I've compared a quality of text translation by Leo and Google Translator and I must say that the text translated by Google was better: grammar, phrases- everything had sense and required less correction.

That was a good idea to compare them. I find Leo has too many definitions for each word and can be confusing and ambiguous.

To improve my German I am reading Deutsch Perfekt http://www.deutsch-perfekt.com from Spotlight publishing house. It comes once in a month and has interesting and up-to-date content. One year subscription costs about 60 euros.
