Just as I arrived beside her, some nutjob on a cheap bicycle ploughed into her from behind, missing me by inches. If he had hit me, I would have been fine with it, but hitting my mother is inexcusable. I offer a reward for his capture and will sell tickets to the viewing of his mutiliation.

Anyway, we now need to think of a suitable punishment for you. I was thinking of hanging you from a tree in English Garden and letting wild man-eating pigs nibble at your dangling feet... all of this happening with cute little children looking on and laughing, with their grandmothers throwing stale muffins at your head. Actually, if you survive we could make it a yearly event. I find it funny the way Germans are so law-abiding in certain ways and in others they act like total criminals. For instance, I seen one guy drive his car through a red light coming from a minor to a major road. He could have killed someone. Was he arrested, not a chance. Yet I have seen pedestrians being fined for walking across an empty road. Go figure.

I do not think the Germans have a litigation culture, but I have heard horror stories when it comes to personal liability for something you have done wrong. it pays to play on the safe side and get yourself covered.

There's a reasonable chance that the cyclist, thinking he might have done some serious damage, will be eager to get away.

She was stopped by the police and explained that her child did not want to dress up and he should has his freedoms and rights as any other human being.

As an example, should he now be allowed to eat no vegetables and only sweets because he prefers sweets? Silly woman. Now I despise lawyers even more :-)
