Are the Freemasons in Munich

A manager in my office mentions that there is a Freemason branch here in Munich.  He even says the building is widely know to be a Freemason building.  Is he making this stuff up?  I thought they were a secret society and nobody knew anything about them.

a lot of Freemasonsloges located in Munich. Freemasons never wants to become a secret society. Freemasons are united in ethical alliances - independent of  social background, education etc. (liberty, egalitarianism, humanity). it's only forbidden to talk about usages outside the community (but only regarding enabling internal change of liberal views). but new members are always welcome, if they can have a share in ingenious conversations.
